Christmas 2013

As usually it's been a crazy few weeks:) it always is around here these days! Bella has decided to eat us out of house and home:) she could care less about a bottle most days, she just wants to eat. And although she only has two teeth she eats everything:)
Brayden had a great Birthday party! He had so much fun playing with his friends he didn't even want to open his gifts. We had to wait till he got home from his party:)
Then came Christmas! By now Brayden had figured out what presents were! He had a great Christmas! And I think Bella had a wonderful first Christmas:)

She was not a fan of Santa:) LOL!
:) what can you say:)

After Christmas we went on a trip to Gatlinburg with the Smiths:) daddy hurt his leg attempting to ski but he will be fine and Brayden had the best time snow tubbing with Higan!! They are so cute together!! I love those two:)

Now it's on to a new year and we hope it's our best yet!

Thanks giving and Brayden's 3rd Birthday!!

We are on our way home from visiting family for thanksgiving. I think Bella's first thanksgiving was a hit:) She ate twice what her brother ate! She's such a little piglet. She had turkey and rice (baby food), mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and 1 bite of pumkin pie with whip cream:) after all that this is what happened:
Turkey coma!! Lol! She was in good company:
I think it was a great thanksgiving. Josh was even napping with the cat who Brayden named catty:)

The next day was Brayden's 3rd Birthday! I still can't believe my baby boy is already 3! He had ice cream cake for Breakfast at Nanas house.

Then we were off to MawMaw and PawPaws where he had more cake:)
He's not spoiled at all;) I love that kid!! Next weekend we will have his party for his friends. I hope he doesn't think his birthday lasts for a week:)

What a year!! August 2013

PpIt has been a wild and crazy year:)! Brayden is turning three in a few months, which doesn't seem possible, and we have a new bundle of joy by the name of Isabella AnnMarie Edmon:) Or as Brayden calls her Bella. She is five and a half months old and the feistiest and sassiest little girl I know:)
Brayden just started Mother's Day Out at church and he loves it! He's my little social butterfly:) He started last week and is excited to go back this week and as much as I miss him it's good to have some mommy Bella time:)
That's just a little catch up. Hopefully I'll be able to post more often:)

It's been an interesting summer

Wow what a few months, it's been a busy summer.  Josh's mom Sherry is doing great! The doctors can not find a trace of the cancer and she has just finished her regular chemo treatments. They want her to do one treatment a month for the next year just to be safe but the prognosis is looking really great! We also found out Josh's grandpa  has lung cancer. He has had two surgeries and is now doing really well. Thank the lord for both good outcomes!
We also found out this summer that we are expecting a little boy in December! We are very excited even though it hasn't been the perfect pregnancy.  I am on bed rest now for the next few months but the baby is doing great and we are so thankful for all of the wonderful support from all our family and friends. We couldn't have done this without them.
We just had our 4D ultrasound last week.  It was really neat to see even though he would not cooperate with us. He is already so low and head down so it was hard to get good pictures. We did get a few that are pretty good. I think he looks like Josh:) Josh thinks I'm crazy and can't figure out how I can see that. Regardless he is one cute little boy!! We have named him Brayden Andrew.  Josh picked out the first name and Andrew is after Josh's dad and my brother. He is going to be a very spoiled little boy! His grandma's are already crazy about him and about buying things for him:) He has a closet full of clothes and his little nursery is all done! We can't wait for him:)

Crazy Month

Wow has this been a crazy month! Josh’s mom (Sherry) found out that she has ovarian cancer and then surgery to remove it and serious complications that followed. We obviously wanted to be with her during all this so in the past month we have been in KY for about two and a half weeks. I know how upsetting all this is for Josh but he is holding up really well, he is such an amazing man, husband and son! So for now Sherry is doing well and recuperating at home with an appointment to talk about her chemo coming up soon. We continue to pray for a full recovery and remission of the cancer and have faith that it is all in Gods hands.

As if that wasn’t enough:) We also discovered I have a little, but not life threatening, problem with my ovaries called PCOS:( So we are working threw that and hoping that it is taken care of soon. I feel like we have spent the last month with a doctor or in the hospital, I wonder if they have discounts for frequent visitors? LOL. We are lucky to have wonderful family and friends to support us threw all this, we couldn’t do it with out each and every one of them, but know that God is ultimately the source of our strength.

March is here finally and we are really looking forward to spring. It’s been a really cold winter in Alabama with lots of snow. I am ready for my flowers to come up and to be able to go hiking again!! We hope that a new mouth will be a less stressful one and look forward to the warmer weather:)

A New Year 2010

Well Christmas went as well as Thanksgiving; we had a really good time. My mom came down the week before and then Josh's family came down for about a week. I had to work a lot but I think everyone had a good time. Since then we celebrated our 1 year anniversary. It's amazing how fast this year has flown by!! I am such a lucky woman to have the amazing husband that I do! I also am only working PRN at Tut Fann now. I got tired of being at work on the weekends, holidays and missing church all the time. So I put my two weeks in and I am only working when I schedule my self to work:)

We have also torn up the carpet in the living room and hallway and then we put down laminate. It is dark and looks so good. I love it! Now that I'm home more I have more time to keep the house looking better. Who would have ever thought I was going to want to be a house wife and like it!?! Crazy thing, growing up:)

Right after Christmas mom left for Alaska for a travel nurse assignment. She really likes it I think. She sounds like she is having fun and she has extended her contract for another 6 weeks so she must. She will be back the 1st week of May, just in time for her birthday. I hope we get the chance to visit her while she is up there, but we will just have to wait and see how things go:

We are leaving this afternoon to go to Monterey to see Grannie, Drew and Jamie, Leann and John and some other friends. We haven't been there in a while so I'm excited. I still have Leanns Christmas present to giver her. I have lots to do to get ready to go. Dog baths, laundry, dishes, take out the trash and pack! Busy busy!!

Thanksgiving 2009

We had our first Thanksgiving at our home this year! It was great, missed my family but with so many of us in the medical field it just wasn't possible this year:(  I cooked everything except the turkey and I left that to Josh. I am really not crazy about turkey so that was his baby. It turned out pretty good, for turkey:)  I wish I had taken a picture of the spread, we had food coming out our ears!! Left overs for days and days.  After dinner was done and cleaned up we put up our tree, which is still a pretty sad little tree:( I keep meaning to get a new one but just forget untill thanksgiving and then it is to late. It's always been a tradition at Grannies to put the tree up after dinner on thanksgiving so I have to keep that going.
We are also going to have Christmas here for the first time this year, I'm excited about that too!!
